Moving between maps
Hi, I am after some help please. How do I move multiple vehicles onto a map?
I have driven through the gateway to Waheep bay and the vehicle I am using is almost out of fuel. I have a 2nd and 3rd vehicle on the other side of the gateway on the main Arizona map, both with fuel. So obviously, I want to get back to the previous map and drive through the gateway with another truck.
However, I cannot for the life of me figure out how to get back to a different map. In snowrunner, its easy, What I am doing wrong?
I know I will probably kick myself once someone explains it to me.
Cheers

It's pretty simple. You can't. The only way to bring several track through gateway is winch.
In your situation the only solution is to abandon current expedition and star again. ESC - return to headquarters.

you can take one additional vehicle through a gateway by winching just like in snowrunner, however there is no quickly swapping between maps

Thanks both for the replies.

I have to say, that totally sucks. My plan was to have multiple vehicles setup with fuel, repair points etc, but that is obviously a non starter.
I did not realise about the winching thing, so I will have to restart the whole mission.
Which, if I am honest, I really cannot be bothered with at the moment. This has killed some of my enjoyment of the game, as I might as well just have one truck with everything on it.
I do get you are supposed to setup for each expedition,
I suppose I could winch one truck through, then drive back through the gateway and winch another one through, but it seems like a lot of effort.

I think I will shelve this game for a while and go play other games, then I will come back and try a new save and plan differently, now I know I cannot freely move between maps.

Cheers

This is where I am at right now. Don't expect to find any easy fuel close to the gateway on either side of it. I am out of fuel 50m from where I need to make a seismc reading.

That sounds familiar. I was about the same. Had the Step close, (it was beeping) but the truck had about 10l of fuel left. My plan, was simply to bring the Acteon through the gateway as it has a bed full of fuel, but because I could not change maps I could not get to the Acteon.
After my last message, I did try to recover and it reset all 3 of my trucks, so I had to start the entire thing again. Had to re select the trucks, had to re equip them etc. I did that, loaded the map and drove the step and acteon as far as the airplane and have now unfortunately lost interest.
It is my own fault, as I think I was expecting something more like snowrunner, where you had a base (garage) and all the expeditions were available from there, so, like Snowrunner, you drive back to the garage when you need to upgrade a vehicle etc. However I thought I could leave vehicles around the map to act as re supply. rescue etc.
Obviously, the gameplay is completely different to what I imagined and I am not enjoying the linear format, and I really do not like that the entire map and all your vehicles reset after each expedition.
There are a lot of good features in the game, and I have enjoyed some aspects. I did buy the season pass version, so I will play it again in the future, but for the moment I think I will leave it for a few months and try again.
