Nether

Will nether run on my laptop? (specs given)
I just got a steam gift card, and I've been wanting nether for a while, but I want to know if I can run it on my laptop. my specs:

Processor: AMD A6-4455m apu with Radeon HD graphics (2.10 ghz)

4 gb ram (3.47 usable. If anyone knows of a way to clean the ram effectively, let me know)

64 bit operating system

Windows 8

Can this run (with a decent framerate) on my computer? I might have to turn some graphics settings down, but I can deal with that.

Sorry, but I think it won't. Your cpu is a dual core, isn't it? The game requires a 2.4 ghz quad core to run.
I think those 3.47 GB of usable ram wouldn't be the problem , even though I didn't check the ram it takes for me.

Notebooks aren't for gaming :)

I checked system requirements lab before posting, but sometimes it can be inaccurate.

Are the extra 0.3 ghz really that essential?

It's not a notebook. I play games such as kerbal space program, minecraft, no more room in hell, GTA san andreas, counter strike: source, gmod, and sanctum 2. Not sure how many of those are highly demanding, but I could never run them on my old laptop (which was a wee little notebook). My new laptop isn't a notebook, I believe. If I can find the model online, I'll post a link.

Your system is lacking the processor power to play the game. Your AMD processor isn't even a true dual core. It's essentially 2 cores that share a module.

Shoot. Well, maybe once I get my custom pc, I'll be able to run it. -_-
I have a very good PC, but I only have 3 usable gb of RAM, can I still be able to play Nether with a good framerate even with only 3 gb of RAM?

You make it sound like you're running 32-bit, in which case, you won't be able to run it at all.

If you're on 64-bit, then 3GB RAM probably won't be enough. This game seems to eat 2-3 GB by itself.

I can run it pretty well, but it goes at about 15-25 fps. Working with my mom to get a bigger, better computer.

That's gonna be a mountain of dirty dishes , trash bags and lawn mowing.

Remember to always use the sad face when she looks at the price ranges lol.

She has a spare gaming computer with a broken fan, so she's gonna fix it up and give it to me because she just bought a new one to play FFXIV on. I have to do all of those things without pay anyways. Except for instead of lawn mowing, I'm gonna be shoveling 2 feet of snow from our sidewalk.

I'm running on 64-bit , I thought I would still be able to play thank you for the warning, I bought DayZ instead, and it runs just fine on minimal settings (around 30 fps in Cherno)

If this is the case, you should just get some more memory. Getting 8gb can cost as little as 20 bucks nowadays.

Hmm, maybe I'll do that but not now because I got this PC 1,5 months ago, so there's no need to do that for now :D
