After over 8 months and thousands of codes handed out to passionate Nether users, the promotion has ended. Your previous purchases of DLC and Special Editions were seen and we were happy to give you codes to make things right.

After the game had shut down in 2015, we knew we had to do something about it. We contacted the publishers to see if we could come back to make the game independent, so it didn't have to rely on something that could shut down later.

We resurrected the game on Halloween in 2015 and set out to do one very simple thing: give you back your game that you had lost, get rid of free to play, and give you back the original game that had been tarnished by other developers and half baked features.

Now that the game is no longer dependent on a 3rd party service to run, the game is alive as long as you own it. Thanks for playing since it's been resurrected and introducing the people in your life to it.

We hope that the several thousand new codes out in the wild have gone to new players who can have fun with you in the world of Nether: Resurrected.

Hey everyone! We've been seeing a lot of questions about a Nether update.

While it's likely not a popular answer, we don't have anything to announce at this time. Nether: Resurrected introduced Single Player and User Hosted Servers, so the game will never die! So, don't worry about the title ever going away! Nether on!

Hope your New Years celebrations were all memorable!

Todays patch is pretty simple. We updated the menus to support different languages and also included the French Language as one of the default languages you could choose from.

To change languages you need to alter the ini file located in the folder you installed Nether -> NetherGame\Config

Edit the DefaultEngine.ini file
Find [Engine.Engine]
And below it, on its own line paste: Language=INT

Current supported languages:
INT American English
FRA European French
RUS Russian

If any of you made one yourselves and want to share it, I can add it and give you a shoutout.

Hope everyone had a good Thanksgiving break!

As some of you might remember our next outlined goal is Mod Support. This will take some time but we'll get it in ASAP. In the meantime we'll be working on lesser issues like multi-language support and more bug fixes.

Because I promised to be transparent with you all, I will say that updates will slow down and won't be weekly ones like the past few have been. This is partly due to the amount of work the next few updates will require and our team size. Don't fret, we're still here :)

We tried to get as many fixes in as possible but had a late start and early finish. While not everything made it in, the next patch will also contain bug fixes and any remaining exploit fixes. Afterwards we will work on modding. Hope you all have a good Thanksgiving break and enjoy time with your loved ones.

1. Hitboxes updated. Should address bunny hopping tanks, prone and crouching players, and no damage when hit.
2. Backpacks can no longer be overloaded by buying items from the shop.
3. Money drops from players don't give a bonus on pickup.(Addresses Money Farming issue)
4. Added PvE server option (Read below)
5. Removed double keybinding
6. Food and Health cooldowns
7. Removed bindable disconnect function
8. Reverted footstep sounds.
9. Fixed thirdperson mode not being toggled.


The Nether Server Settings document is what you'd want to change. This is located in your My Documents/ My Games/ Nether/ NetherGame/ SaveData folder.

If you don't see AllowThirdPerson or Allow PvEMode in there, you could do two things:
1. Delete the document on the machine, rerun the server to create a new version with these values.
2. Add them manually to the end, "AllowThirdPerson":false,"AllowPvEMode":false

- Set them to true if you want them enabled, they are off by default.

We've unlocked a beta branch for anyone wanting to get the latest stable build and try out any of the new features.You should see a "Betas" tab when you right click on the game in your library and go into properties.

Most of the new stuff are exploit fixes. The latest thing was a hitbox change which will prevent issues like prone and crouch not registering hits.

The next patch should be out EOD Tuesday!

Hi guys,

A lot of you messaged me regarding players that are supposidly carrying out DDoS type attacks.

If it is indeed a DDoS then report it to your ISP.
If it is instead one IP constantly pinging you, then block that IP on your router or host machine. You could also report that player to steam if you have logs.

There are currently no plans to host official servers apart from mine on the day of patches.

Hi All,

So we wanted to patch the box letters from yesterdays patch and decided to throw in a few bug fixes.

- Fixed box lettering
- Improved the Flashlight.
- Increased movement volume
- Increased character height
- Hopefully fixed the inventory and pickup exploits (Let me know a repro if it's still happening, we couldnt repro it)
- Oh yeah and enabled third person view with a crosshair. Just type into chat /ChangeCamera to toggle between the views.


So we want to enable a "beta" mode which would allow you to try the most recent builds we upload and give us feedback on new features. I'll announce this at a later time.
For those of you that might remember, way back in closed beta we had dodge movement. Well, before enabling these features we'd want others to try them out. I've always wanted to fix vehicles so that might also be in these beta builds.

Anyway, build will be out in 30 minutes.

PS: Based on feedback I'm going to make the thirdperson a server setting. Hosters please edit the server settings document and set AllowThirdPerson to true. It's going to be off by default.
