Error - Entry Point Not Found

I've tried downloading the demo on two different computers now, and it keeps crashing before it even starts. Today I decided to open it straight from the game files, and got an error message "The procedure entry point SetProcessMitigationPolicy could not be located in the dynamic link library KERNEL32.dll".

i am very sorry! You must have been downloading the linux build! I set that live for a second, thinking it would work, but it's actually completely broken and i have need help from friends to get it to run!

i will eventually get it to run on linux, i am sure, but not right now :(

So the second case might be more of a personal issue - I've been running Windows 7 on my desktop for as long as I could put off upgrading, and it's gotten to the point where I should probably upgrade everything else along with my OS.

But yeah, I hope the steam deck build gets fixed soon as well.

similar issue on windows 8, it's not the linux build.

Error message: "The procedure entry point DiscardVirtualMemory could not be located in the dynamic link library D:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Mosa Lina Demo\nw.dll."

I usually see this message on applications that drop windows 7/8 support

yeah, people with windows 7 have reported that the game's not working!
are you running 8?

Ah that's unfortunate, i'm on windows 8.1.

I guess you could downgrade your engine to an earlier version but that might have it's own problems, or just not bother since steam is ending windows 7/8 support January 2024.

You might want to edit your minimum system requirements to being windows 10.
