Crash when initializing online games (without bots) / Crash à l'initialisation de jeux en ligne (sans bots)

I launched two online games that got stuck before they even started...

- 4-player Japan map (see image)
- 3-player Scandinavia map. This one keeps loading indefinitely and crashes the game.

Is this a common problem?

Hey baugey.francois, thanks for reporting this to us. It shouldn't be a common problem, no. Did it only happen those two times, or is it frequent?

There's no image link in the post, but do you get stuck in different moments? Judging by what you said, it seems the second one is during the loading screen, but the first one is perhaps after the map itself has already loaded? With the image, it might be easier to tell.

You're right the first one (Japan) I got the map, but stands still there... On Scandinavia, still "loading" and crash the programm (need to exit with ♥♥♥♥+Tab to Steam & abort Les Aventuriers du Rail game)...

This is the second time its happen (with days and games between this two crashes).

How can I abort this two dead games without losing Stars ?

Unfortunately, it's not possible to abort those games without losing stars. However, you're in luck, since the season has just ended and we're in a cooldown period before the next season starts. During this period, you do not earn or lose any stars, so it's the perfect time to abort those frozen games.

We apologise for the inconvenience and assure you that we'll continue doing our best to improve the stability of the game with each update!

Thanks for excellent tip (aborting crashed games durind ended season)... But I think you'll have to give another opportunity yo gamers in this case...

And first of all, thanks for trying to solve the problem of this crashes at the early beginning of on line games.

Yesterday night, a global power shuutdown kick me of an Japan on line game, a few seconds later, the power returns... But when i come back to the game; i cannot access my
Japan party, nor i got any further information about the end of this game... ?
- Is the impossibility to re-access the game a common issue ?
- Why I cannot get any further informations about the end of this game ?

I apologize for my pidgin english never learned at school, but only trough translations of english rules of Avalon Hill Games during the 70's & 80"s, when USA were almost the only producers of table top games ! My old oxford dictionnary is almost in pieces !

Your English is fine, baugey, don't worry about it!

Regarding the game where you lost power. Yes, you should be able to reconnect to the game even if it closes down due to a power outage. However, there's a limit of 3 turns before you are replaced by a bot and lose access to the game forever (which is why you wouldn't see the final result screen).

If you do come back before those 3 turns have passed, you should be able to find the game by clicking on "My Games" from the main menu, then either on the "Waiting" or the "Your Turn" tabs.
