To bypass the aim bug: press Space to draw the weapon and press Left Ctrl one time to activate autoaim in order to unlock the complete aim range (moving the mouse). In order to beat the final boss I needed to press several times this two buttons until (randomically) the focus went on the spot to shoot. It took me around 8-9 tries to beat the boss due to this problem. Just keep trying! :)
Thank you, though that's certainly an elaborate way to overcome something I very earnestly wish the developers had bothered to address.
