I learned this when i baught a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ game by the name of "I Am Not Alone" (not to be confused with Ubi-Soft's game of similar title) for $40. An unoptimized, glitchy game with a final boss that takes, literally, over an hour to beat...and god help you if you so much as die during that battle.
But..yeah...i dont think Valve/Steam needs to remind people of the friggin obvious life lesson of "think before you buy, dumbass".
As for thinking before you buy..I'm fairly sure that most people who bought this THOUGHT they were buying something that would actually work properly.
If you buy a new car and it breaks down within the first hour you don't get told "ahhh well..you should have thought about it more first" or "don't worry we might fix it for you one day"- so why should it be acceptable practice for pc software? Your post is ludicrous Chaz.
I also think it's time Valve actually hired competent QA staff and took some responsibility for the huge ammount of defective software it offers up for sale via Steam. True, some generic "caveat emptor" comment is not the answer. The answer is to make sure something works before you SELL it.
Not only is the controller support terrible, but I get Microsoft Visual C++ errors as well. To think they jack the price back up to $25 after the sale. The audio, graphics, textures, voice acting are all terrible. Just the opening scene is cringe worthy. This is NOT worth $25. Hell, it isn't even worth $2.
I've yet to come across an early access game that was as broken as this game is.
1.4 hrs on record
Yeah, the game is not very pretty. But i haven't experience any crashes or frame rate issues. Runs fine and controller works too.
In the same folder where you go to reinstall PhysX, run the Microsoft visual thing and you should be able to play it for awhile.
