Ok I see, when you load the game it brings up an options box before playing, go over to controls and change it from keyboard/mouse to the Xbox pad, then click back to where it says begin game but instead of clicking on it, press A on your pad, the game should hopefully start up then with full controller support.
DPLauncher is brought up when you load the game from your library, there is an option for settings on there, I didn't see this first time round and wondered why my pad wasn't recognised.
Nice, I hope that sorts it out.
if you're still interested..here it goes.
go to control panel. open "devices and printers"(?), got a german windows, its "Geräte und Drucker", right click on your Xbox one game controller and click on the topmost point, "gamecontrolleroptions" or similar, should open the gamecontroller window where you see your game controller.select your xbox controller and click "extended/advanced", again, german windows, the one on the left above ok :) then select your xbox controller as your preferred device. done! should work now, did for me :) cheers!
Also changing the compatibility setting made the fps shoot up. According to fraps I'm playing with smooth 240 fps
But the 360 controller works just fine, even without the DPfix. Weird.
Fooled around for a bit before posting this text and found the solution to use InputMapper for the DS4 wich solved the problem for that controller. IM doesn't seem to work with the One controller, but a similar software that supports the One might solve the problem.
It's impossible ?
the game is unplayable keyboard / mouse
Try this: (Just clarifying a post above).
After you have started InputMapper go to Control panel > Devices and Printers. There you should see an icon of a 360 controller with the name "Xbox 360 Controller for Windows", right click on it and then click on "Game Controller Settings". In the next window you should see "Controller (Xbox 360 For Windows)", highlight it and then hit Advanced. Choose the Xbox Controller as prefered device and hit enter.
Now you should be able to play with your DS4!
PS. If you don't see the 360 controller icon in Devices an Printers then your InputMapper don't work as it should.
