For those who've played this on PC with mods and Nintendo Switch, which would you recommend playing?
I'm not sure which version will provide the best experience.

I'm currently playing on Switch and I gotta say I love it - it just feels right. Switch is probably capable of showing the graphics like DP, so it fits there perfectly, whereas i played it some time ago on PC and felt it just aged poorly and was looking bad.

So I'm having a lots of fun on Switch tho I will be missing on the Director's Cut stuff that was added, as Switch version is the original. And it's on sale now, so it's worth a try.

Probably the Switch version, just because it works out of the box

Dont know about Switch version, but PC port suffers from random crashes, especially in the late game.

Switch version has crashed on me once, and the framerate while driving is like sub 20fps at times (not always though), but overall it's less problematic, and actually seems to run at a solid 60fps in the investigation sections/when you're not in the open world. The PC version still has some bad issues, including save corruption, even with the dpfix mod, and I tend to think that maybe the Director's Cut scenes aren't really canon if they removed it in the Switch re-release. I'd recommend the Switch version, especially because it's on sale for $15 right now.

Going to second it being broken. I've only been able to get it to run twice. Now it just crashes on startup for me. At least it was only a dollar I'm out but damn.

I have the GOG version, and it runs super well on my laptop. Only had the sound issue, which I posted a fix for a few minutes ago. I think how well it works just depends on your particular device, and whether it needs compatibility mode, etc. And of course, having DPfix is handy.

I ended up getting the Switch version but getting peeved at the 20 fps driving sections, so I gave the PC version another try. With the proper mods and tweaks I got it to run very well, I'm playing at 4k with 60 fps now with all the dpfix settings maxed out. I was getting crashes and error messages initially, but some tweaks here and there seem to have fixed those. Played for a good couple of hours last night without any problems.

So...which tweaks please? I have the DPfix, I've tried setting processor affinity, it's borderless windowed, and I've just tried setting it to run as admin but have yet to launch the game. It seriously crashes like, every fifteen minutes. Very irritating. What am I missing?

I wrote a list of everything I did so I wouldn't forget, so here:

- Use the 4gb patch tool on dp.exe (https://ntcore.com/?page_id=371)
- Check "run as admin" in dp.exe properties and dplauncher.exe properties
- Don't use compatibility mode
- Game set to Controller and Fullscreen unchecked in the dp launcher options
- In DPFix.ini: forceWindowed 1
- In DPFix.ini: borderlessFullscreen 1
- Use DS4Windows in case you're using a dualshock 4
- Set Xbox 360 Controller to be the preferred gamepad in "devices & printers" so controller input works properly
- Launch dplauncher and set affinity to core 0 - 3

Let me know how it goes

Thanks, mate! So far it seems to be going well since the last time I posted. I thought I'd done the LAA patch (4GB that is) but I tried that again to be sure, and I set it to run as admin. So far no crashes in my last two sessions. When I set the processor affinity before doing any of this, it seemed to crash more, so I haven't reïntroduced that yet.
