Short answer in my vew no it is not . The above poster makes mention of the TV show twin peaks This game has references to that TV show as well as some other cultural references to the silent hill series as well . for people who have not seen twin peaks I know shocking that these people actually exist . From what i have been reading It is less likely that you are going to fully enjoy the game . As you are not going to get all the twin peaks related jokes or humor It seems that the people who "get" the twin peaks references are the ones that are going to be more forgiving of the games repeated crashing and from what i have read on this forum you are going to have to do at least 3 things to the game before it is going to actually work without crashing for you .
Without talking about all the various cultural references that are in the game this is the basic game play needed to complete the game The game is likely to crash at least once without modification.
1
you are given a map where you have to kill a bunch of zombies and find 3 objects
2 after you find the 3 objects you usually have to complete a quick time event .
3 after you complete the quick time event a cut scene happens . and you have completed a game section
4 after the cut scene you have to move your game character to a location in the game world during a certain in game time frame . where another cut scene happens . Then you go back to 1 this process repeats itself until the game ends.
There are over 50 side quest where in game characters will get you to find and move various things . non of which i had done seems most of these are fetch quest in other words you have to get a certain object or set of objects to get an in game reward. These need to be done during a certian in game time frame .
here is the wikopedia link for the game for more information.
