Curly's status after 20 years

I Like to think he got rescued and is living in some nursing home but it's also likely he just dies off in space

I honestly figured Pony Express wouldn't exist in enough capacity to care nor be able to send anyone to rescue him.

His situation reminds me alot of the disappearance of the Sarah Joe, and other missing boat mysteries found later (e.g. El fausto) I guess you'd imagine, he'd be found 20 years later by a crew that mostly dosen't know about the pony express except an older guy, and suddenly this mystery of the Tulpar rings bells, but he might not know its the Tulpar right away if the ship aged and most ID was gone, Curly would probably need his mouth almost completely surgically fixed or replaced with cyber implants for him to even speak, some forensic evidence would already be obvious (Jimmy and Swansea headshot, Daisuke with a huge skull fracture, Anya would be a mystery unless they piece together the scene) but you can imagine how confusing it would be to see 4 skeletons and 1 maimed one entirely out of context , It would be so cool to see it in a broadcast format ya know

> They find the Tulpar and find Curly but need to go back for reinforcements, the Tulpar mysteriously disappears along w evidence
> Tulpar is shot after being mistaken as a threat if intergalatic border exists, later discovered to be a lost ship

seeing as how pony express was shutting down before the crash, i think the chances of anyone coming to find him are very slim
there's also a chance ppl at pony express wanted to recover the tulpar since (at least, i imagine) that its company property so perhaps in that scenario he could be rescued

He gets trapped for 20 years and as no one comes to his rescue he begins to defrost and burn oxygen. As he slowly dies inside the hunk of scrap floating space that was once his ship. He faces hallucinations about being a fish and the illusion of choice and the anxieties of the unknown, up or down?

I'm a fan of the theory that the cryo pod wasn't actually fully functioning yet, which is why Swansea hadn't revealed anything about it yet. So Jimmy (thinking he's saved his friend) actually doesn't accomplish anything and Curly starves inside a not quite repaired tube.

Admittedly that's an incredibly dark ending so I'm also amenable to the mouthwash company hiring like a crew to track down their missing merchandise and this crew manages to find Curly in time. Course it's left open ended enough that nothing can be certain.
