Is there actually a dead pixel on the screen?

we play the game from jimmy and curly's perspective. curly can't see the pixel, and neither can jimmy- because the dead pixel is a metaphor for jimmy's nature, and jimmy doesn't see what he did wrong either. at least until later- we know he has some guilt, mostly over curly and not so much over anya (ouch but at least polle called him out for it in that one sequence), but then swansea breaks the screen after the crash and after they search the hold. now everybody can see the issue, even jimmy, who's desperately trying to 'fix' things in his own twisted way, and it's much, much larger now.
