End game spoilers, some thoughts on Curly and Jimmy
I know Curly wasn't perfect, but he saw his childhood friend who he grew up with and wanted him to be better, he truly believed your worst moments didn't define you, whatever he did on earth we don't know just that it was bad, I'm sure deep down he knew Jimmy was not a good person, but he had to believe he was helping change him, the new environment, the smaller amount of people, and Jimmy finally working an honest job.

Its truly sad to see how much he loved his childhood friend, so much so he ended up becoming him, even slightly, by not helping Anya nearly to the degree she deserved, while still trying to be himself and help everyone.

And Jimmy, who was way more messed up in the head, also wanted to help everyone at certain points, yeah he didn't end up helping anyone, but there were honest moments I believe he wanted to, or he at least deluded himself into believing he wanted to, that he would fix everything, just like Curly was always fixing things, he wanted to wear Curly's mask, but his own mask/face was just way too much. And in the end he recognizes Curly is the better man, way too late, and I do think he managed to pull the wool over his own eyes, to trick himself into thinking he did some good by putting Curly in the cyropod and ending his own terror. Jimmy will never be redeemable to me, or most, but I do think he had a little complexity, he wasn't just pure evil, just... mostly evil.

I think Curly never knew the extent of what Jimmy had done, I think the dialogue about the dead pixel and that he can only see the bigger picture points to that.

Well, she tells Curly she's pregnant, and wants a gun to protect herself, and can't be near Jimmy, and wants to know why she can't lock her bedroom door.

I think Curly is smart enough to figure it out, or he knows and is choosing to ignore it for the bigger picture as you say, both pretty bad.

I felt the same way. I can understand not getting the subtle hints Anya was trying to tell Curly about the dead pixel but you would think the question about the sleeping quarters would raise an eyebrow.

We don't know if he is choosing, I think his ark is that he tries to fix things after they are broken and that he doesn't read the writing on the wall, as when he was caught by surprise about the bankruptcy of the company.

I don't think Curly being smart has anything to do with it, he is a cup half full kind of person who doesn't get hints.
