It is called context. You don't crash a ship and kill everyone on board because you don't want to take care of a baby.

He did SA Anya, but that doesn't make him a bad CHARACTER, he's just a bad person. His character is written really well, and it's clear he's crazy to some degree as the stress gets to him before and after the crash. He did bad things, literally cannibalized Curly, SA'd Anya, and killed Swansea as well as gaslit Daisuke into basically killing himself.

(for the steam mods, this is in reference to the fictional characters)

Because he's a bad person, does not mean he's a bad character in the story. He's actually pretty awesome to have in the game and is the main driving point for massive portions of the storytelling. L Jimmy, W writing
