i'm not really sure why a lack of puzzles specifically is being cited, not every game has puzzles. i get that they're common in horror games to an extent but i wouldn't argue that they're something that should be mandatory or expected of games in general.
I would never have guessed.
1) It's a game.
2) It's also a visual novel, not every visual novel has different story lines and "butterfly effect" mechanics some are linear.
3) Repeating your initial "critiques" doesn't solidify them it just makes you seem incoherent.
4) Off the bat I can think of 5 to 6 different puzzles / mini games within mouthwashing such as; Captain scanners, Blind horse, Valve turning, Vent centipede escape, Walk backward and the Ultrasound puzzle, Just because they are simple DOESN'T mean they don't exist within the game and it actively discredits the work the devs put into creating them. (Excuse some of the names for the puzzles / mini games I didn't know how best to describe them)
5) Horror comes in many different formats, mouthwashing is a psychological horror focusing on the depths of human depravity, some of the scariest parts of mouthwashing don't come from the visual blood, guts and gore or even the jump-scares but how realistic the scenario is and could happen irl, the depths of human narcissism (aka: Jimmy) are truly boundless.
6) Best 2.4hrs ever and i would 100% recommend this game to anyone who loves horror and story telling.
