I don't understand one moment in the story

It's about dialogue between Jimmy and the captain right before the crash. It seems like Captain knew about Jimmy's intentions and just... allowed him to do that, but had a change of mind at the last moment and rushed to the cockpit?

From what I remember, I thought Curly was literally on the way to confront Jimmy about what Anya was afraid about. Curly just got to him too late and sees Jimmy curled up in front of the door to the cockpit, with the ship shaking and on red alert. I remember Curly saying something like "Jimmy, what did you do..?" And then he runs in the cockpit as soon as it begins to blow up and simultaneously be sealed by the foam, I think what caused Curly to become the way he did in the first place.

It somewhat is implied that Curly allowed Jimmy to do it but a part of his was thinking he wouldn't. I think most of us if Jimmy was our best friend we all might think the same thing. "You've know that man for how many years? Would be crash a ship? No, no I know him too well he wont" that could have been how he though.

Nope, there was an entire conversation between them about how they both will be heroes (because they will survive the accident? idk). I think that Curly's apperance also is snown for the only time in entire game in that scene.

Curly tried to see if he could make peace with both sides, jimmy runs off and then because if the rest figured out he would be killed and they cannot support a baby on the ship mostlikely so he crashes the ship and then alarms goes off and curly is like ''what-'' and runs back to the cockpit yadyadya

Curly knew Anya hid the gun, so when Jimmy says he's going to "take care of it" and he goes to the cockpit - where the gun should be - Curly knows that Jimmy isn't going to find it there, and the only other weapon on the ship is the fire axe, which Swansea has. I don't think he realized that Jimmy was so desperate to run from his problems that he would crash the ship and kill them all. I think Curly figured Jimmy would go in the cockpit, realize the gun wasn't in there, and come out defeated. Just my thoughts though.

I think that the whole Jimmy/Curly dynamic is about an abuser and an enabler.

Curly wasn't a bad person but he was enabling Jimmy to do all the bad stuff he was doing even after Anya told him about it. He tried to keep peace and didn't want to tell Jimmy to stop, he let the abuse happen and it shows that inaction has consequences.

It's also shown in the Anya/Curly conversation about the dead pixel, Curly just couldn't see the dead pixel and in a way it's about how he could not see that he had to stop Jimmy before it ruined everything.
