The reason why, because the bad fans want to protect a fictional character getting sexualised, because victims of sexual assault arent allowed to feel and be sexy I guess. But they are fine targeting and harrassing real people, including women (mentioning it to show the hypocrisy, real women are a-ok to harrass but god forbid anyone does something to a fictional one
Luckily a loud part of the fandom and the devs (but composer, hes also a weirdo like these bad fans) are against this, but its still a lot of people thinking its fine to harrass artists.
We need to keep critizising such behaviour, and hopefully the bad part of the fandoms leaves eventually.
I do understand that topic is quite problematic, but you cannot drown hate with hate. What dose fans are doing isn't ''protecting'' it's straight up harrasment and against the law. I do get that they get emotional seeing fanarts like this, but you can simply block the artist and never see their work.
Mouthwashing is amazing game, with dark and mature themes, I myself will be getting it this sale, it's just weird that I got to know about this game, from this whole ''controversy'' lol
So you know, being toxic pretentious toss pots on top of cultivating a toxic community, gee I wonder why Trump won......
Not American btw, I just constantly shake my head at the stupidity that is acting like clowns like this, preaching acceptance, but then having an issue when someone likes their stuff. This is that musical artist/pewdiepie debacle all over again.
And it makes me sad, when I heard about this game, it looks right up my alley. But not going to support it if the co-founder is this far up their own ass.
In this games case its not even a woke only issue (In case with the Anya fanart drama) If you dare say you like Jimmy (You can like a character and dislike their actions), or try to make a little theory on how TECHNICALLY it is never confirmed Anya got abused, the fandom will get to your throat for daring to have a different view, for daring to hurt their precious fictional character for having an opinion or idea that might go against her
This fandom is sadly full of Jimmys
