All they were doing was slinging insults now they're stuck kicking dirt.

And Wrong Organ has been retweeting more art and animations the past couple hours and the responses have been 100% positive from people.

The people mad are the smallest of minorities. Some other YouTuber will play it and outdo any "damage" that was done with new players coming in to buy it.
Especially if they win any Awards.

They're also really upset he put his account on protected, but nobody is mentioning he did so because all people were doing was yelling insults, threats, and slurs.
No actual criticism, no discussion, just temper tantrums.

I exaggerated obviously, and wish I could point to the conversation, but being blocked I can't access even my own post just asking them to tell the truth. There were no "twitter shenanigans" as he stated, this guy made a stink on twitter, it backfired in spectacular fashion, and of course is pretending like nothing happened on blue sky. I just pointed to the tweet of Asmon liking and recommending his game, and immediately got blocked. Class act. The guy is poison to the company.

Similar thing almost happened with Selaco when Nexxtic, one of the main devs, got extremely butt hurt that Yahtzee had some minor criticisms for the game, but overall liked the game. They then went on a twitter tyrade saying how he's always been "♥♥♥♥" etc etc, before luckily coming to his senses and apologising for the whole ordeal.

Martin here however, seems like they are too full of themselves to do anything of the sort. They shot themselves in the foot, and then blamed everyone else.

Art that is good is going to be liked by a lot of people, including those you don't like. If you don't want that, then don't post/sell it. Which is especially strange seeing as they JUST defended artists making fanart from being attacked by twitter weirdos. But then one of them freaks out because someone with a different viewpoint on politics than them LOVES their games, and even after all this came out, Asmongold STILL ENDORSED the game?

I'm sure Martin will HATE hearing this: But he can learn a thing or two about professionalism from someone that lives with cockroaches..... just saying.

I personaly think "overreacted" is way way to soft. I understand we all make mistakes and in my personal opinion he might just had some kind of stress related mental breakdown phase but doing as if nothing happened will probably cost the company atleast some growth.

How signifanct is obviously hard to predict but as this game isn't big in the first place my estimation is that even a few thousand sales more would've gone a long way.

A lot of people and communities are very fed up with being insulted by game companys over and over again with stigmas that don't even apply to them.

The most recent one I can think of was Alex Mauer with Star Mazer DSP from like 7 years ago. Then there was Marty trying to frame Mick Gordon from Doom Eternal, but Mick cleared his name with a lot of evidence. Dunno of others though.

The only two instances I can think of are the Bethesda composer, Jeremy Soule, being blacklisted from the industry over accusations of workplace sexual harassment (never convicted, of course), and the composer of Doom (Mick Gordon) being screwed-over by the studio that produced Doom... oh look, Bethesda again.
