i'm pretty sure the implication is that curly's crew isn't the only one working for pony express, there are multiple that carry out various delivery jobs all over, or at least there were until they went out of business.

and not to be petty, but i feel like you're selling anya short lol, it's true that she never got into nursing school but considering she was able to keep curly alive in his state using basic medical supplies i'd argue she's pretty capable.
