(Spoilers) Question about Daisuke's Chapter 13 and 14 storyline

After you get access to the utility room, Daisuke climbs up the vent and gets severely injured. But I don't understand how / why he go injured? I tried to do some research and some sources claimed he got electrocuted. But how did he have several deep cuts and heavy beeding? This doesn't happen when somebody gets electrocuted. Most of the time you die instantly or suffer severe burns. You also enter the vent yourself and nothing seems to be dangerous inside of the vent? I can't really wrap my head around this and was wondering if someone else knows what happend inside the vent?

My guess would be there was likely spinning fans and other moving parts within the vents that could hurt someone. A metal fan blade can cut quite deep. If the vent itself got damaged in the crash the metal jutting out could also easily cut or injure someone in the dark who doesn't see it there.

Especially with a sci fi vent from the future who knows what it's actually for or it's purpose for the ship. Could be any number of things in there that could cause injury. Swansea seemed to think it was very dangerous.

I thought when you went into the vent yourself, it was just a hallucination anyway, so it really wouldn't indicate the actual state of the vent- but maybe I am remembering wrong.

It's definitely just a delusion brought on by some inner guilt of knowing it's his fault Daisuke is dead. Unless OP believes there's giant centipede doll monsters, wombs filled with horse babies, and the vents just go on forever in all directions then his delusions really shouldn't be taken as an accurate representation of what's in the vent.
