Game should include a disclaimer or trigger warning
Personally absolutely loved the game but noticed this game has absolutely no disclaimer about certain parts of the game that isn't just gore and extreme violence, and those subjects are quite touchy and can cause high levels of distress for people who are unaware of these things being present in the game.

Question marks, very informative thank you. Traumatic as in scares, putting you in situations that will make you uncomfortable, horror.

Christ this generation:steamfacepalm:
you can understand why saying games should be traumatizing while insisting that it's impossible for them to be is confusing, right? you can understand how that makes no sense?

Me when I don't want to make a game more accessible to more people, settle down tough guy
It isn't you though, which is sad thing indeed.

Here I do a couple of suggestions that you may approve of. To make it "more accessible" remove the scares and the horror. Great idea right:cupup:

Are you being serious? I was referring to you, you actually unironically think that traumatic = scary, stretching to the point of "remove horror and scares" when everything could be solved with a written warning somewhere, but considering your hate the thought so much I bet you also hated Silent Hill, Dead Space, Visage because they all had these disclaimers and clearly ruined the gaming experience for you

That's a bold assumption.

Traumatic and scary are two different things, what you're saying is actually insane
No what's insane is assuming developers need to follow every single person's whims.

No I put in the same place as accessibility options.

Idiocy is an accessibility issue as well:winter2019happyyul:

If you need trigger warnings you probably shouldn't be playing horror games.
A very shallow thing to say, it's like to say that people who are prone to epilepsy shouldn't play video games at all, not all horror games have all kinds of trauma triggers and having a head up what the game might have is really not much to ask for
just like poeple who are afraid of heights shouldnt ride roller coaster and stuff so yeah if a game makes you uncomfortable why would a warning change anything?, your balls dont grow bigger just because theres a yellow " ! " mark

the warning lets you know the game contains themes/content that would make you uncomfortable and you can then avoid it (or prepare yourself accordingly if you want to try to push through anyway i suppose), that's what the point of a warning is. it's unreasonable to say someone should just automatically avoid every single horror game on earth if say, a specific topic that isn't universally present (sexual assault, for example) is a trigger for them.

So by that same logic you'd be okay with no one being able to tell which rides are roller coasters or not before they get on, and will only be able to know if they are on a rollar coaster halfway through the ride? Like you know that roller coasters themselves actually have warning labels on them for when they're rough enough to not allow pregnant women on them right? Since some rides and even some roller coasters are super tame and even allows small kids on them and would be no more harmful to a pregnancy than riding a car, while others are extremely rough and would be harmful to a pregnancy. What you're suggesting would be the same as not allowing pregnant women to know ahead of time which rides are safe to go on or not in a scenario where you cannot visually see what kind of ride it is ahead of time and so have no way of knowing whether it will be okay or not.

Or as another example lets just not label things that have allergen in food, and just telll people with allergies it's their fault for wanting to eat food in the first place. If they don't want an allergic reaction just don't eat. It's so easy. or maybe they should just suck it up and stop being weak by allowing their allergies to close up their throats. If they were just less sensitive they'd be able to eat all the peanuts themselves. It's really their fault for allowing themselves to have an allergy when they should just toughen up and stop being allergic to things. Why should normal people have to read warning labels about nuts? They don't even need those labels and it spoils the mystery of finding out for themselves what's inside their candy bar. Sure they have to actively search through the active ingredients to even know which they could just avoid doing, but clearly their comfort is more important than those filthy allergic people who are just too sensitive and should grow up. Honestly we should ban anything that tells anyone any information about anything too. Now that I think about just informing people about anything is offensive to anyone who doesn't need to know about that information. Why should we even label games horror? Man you're going to get spoiled that horrifying things might happen in the story and then you're going to look out for that. We really shouldn't label any games at all or even give a premise to what the games about since that's just going to spoil them on the themes of a story, and the gameplay. Why can't we just make all games a blank screen with no titles or thumbnails or descriptions. That way we can truly go into every game with nothing about those games spoiled. Have a genre you don't enjoy? Well why are you playing games anyway if there's games out there you don't like? You should just avoid video games all together.

That's what you sound like.

so you compare something you need (food) with something that is completly optional (entertaiment). thats your take?

Interesting question. I don't know what the significance of a trigger warning is and why people need it. Is that the same thing as having a ratings tag or something? If so I think it already has that.

Yeah people with epilepsy(specifically light based epilepsy) should avoid playing video games lmao(Its literally what doctors recommend), You literally have to get okay'd from your doctor to partake and most dont like their patients taking that risk. Even then when you do you have to take lots of precautions i.e in the safest space possible far away from anything dangerous like wires, sharp objects etc and in a soft preferably bean-bag style chair so you cant fall over

Isn't the game M rated? I would think that would be a warning enough, the rating prob includes scenes of rape, and extreme violence

it's not rated by the esrb at all. the only clue-in you have to the content of the game is the mature content warning on steam, which intentionally leaves out anything that isn't gore or violence related.
