Controller Support?

Is this like the same PC game as on the console? I loved this on xbox, is the PC version stripped down with all the features removed? I use a standard 360 controller on PC, did anyone buy this game to know if its stripped down or the full version with controller support?

What? There is no such version as stripped down or full with controller support.
This is an old game. The fact that it's released on Steam doesn't mean it got 9879696589 new features. Barely any old game does it. This one isn't exception - It's a release of the same game you can still buy on disc. No new features.

There is no mention of controller support on the store page, and considering the age, XInput wouldn't be part of the game. If it had support for DirectInput with controllers, they would still show Partial Controller Support, and even that is lacking.

So this isnt new its just a steam version of a PC game that came out years ago? Uhhhh so how do we even know it works with modern computers?

Uh, yes, it is an old game. Do at least a little research. This isn't some grand remake, its just the game with the soundtrack issues finally sorted.

And yes, it works with modern computers, just like the rest. It isn't some old DOS game, it was made and released during the use of the XP OS and has no problems with current operating systems.

I've bought a bunch of games that don't mention controller support on the store page, yet they still come with xbox controller support, what we are asking for is if someone who actually bought the game to go in to the options menu and look to see if it offers any type of controller support. We are not asking for people to speculate whether it has controller support or not.

Just don't expect it to fully work with 360 controllers.

If the other classic Hitman series games have some controller support, chances are better for this one.

i doubt it..since the xbox360 wasn't out when this game was released.

This is originally a PC only version of the game, there is no full version with controller support. There is no natural controller support.
Mouse and keyboard. If you really wanted to play this with a joystick officially, get the PS3, or Xbox 360 version or the prior gen console versions.

This game was on xbox, the controller existed then and worked on PC with all the other GFWL titles, thats why if id like to know if this has 360 controller support, there is a 360 and PS3 release, so does this game have all the features or was it all stripped out making the PC version inferior? Also guessing this has no widescreen support either then if its just the old PC version then?

The features weren't stripped out, because they were never in there. This is the original decade old release, which predates the remakes, predates the 360 controller, and I imagine even predates GfWL.

Hitman Contracts is on Xbox 360 and the PS3. Guess this PC version is stripped down, thats too bad Hitman is a popular series, too bad on PC we get the cheapo version of the game with all the stuff stripped out. Maybe they will make a new version for PC that works with a controller and has widescreen support.

You asked about the PC title not the console version,The PC version of this game never had controller support either in any digital or physical version. This game was never a GFWL title. GFWL started May 29, 2007 this game was released Apr 20 2004 and is essentially that same version with a few updates.

I just played this version and there is no joystick settings, just mouse and keyboard.
I suppose you could do it, but natively no joystick support.
