"No Render is Selected"
So I've been recording olaythroughs of this game one mission per day for a while. I've never had any problems with it and it has always run just fine. Today, it was acting up. When I started it, it was running only in the top left corner, as if it was in windowed mode, only I could not move it around or change any of the settings.

I quit and tried to restart, but after restarting I would get a Fatal Error that said
"No Render is Selected. Please select one."
I don't know how to fix this. I have verified my cache, restarted my computer, and tried to mess with the settings. I'm honestly not sure what I am missing. I have not yet tried uninstalling and reinstalling. I was kind of hoping to avoid that, but that is my next move. If anyone knows how to fix this or what is causing it, I would be really grateful. I am really enjoying this game. I'm just not sure why it would suddenly break like this.

other games work fine? maybe try re installing direct x and updating video drivers just in case

Open the steamapps\common\Hitman Contracts\ directory. Open the properties window for the game's exe. In the compatibility tab, select Vista SP 2, inactivate scaling ... and run as admin. Apply. Close properties window. Play. Merry Christmas.

Well, I didn't try that specifically. I found the option to restore to defaults, so I hit that. It worked after that. I'm not sure how it got messed up, but it ran fine till the end. Thanks, though. Next time something like this happens, I'll try that.
