hitman contracts is the remake of hitman 1 and 2?

so ive bought all the hitman games except 1 and i was thinking to buy it and play later but then i heard some people saying the hitman contracts is the remake of hitman 1 and 2 is that true?

only if you really want to but the gameplay is different from all the other hitman games. like in a lot of maps you have no choice but to shoot everyone in your way and the stealth elements in general are very limited.
id say skip it and start with hitman 2

Half the missions in contracts are direct remakes from assassinations in Hitman: Codename 47. The other half of the missions are completely new.

hitman contracts are old memory's for hitman, asylum aftermath, is the AFTERMATH ( WHAT HAPPENED NEXT ) for the last mission for codename 47, because silent assassin (hitman 2 ) was a rescue mission, contracts was actually part 2... traditions of the trade, are the vuchs brothers he already assassinated, and lee Hong restaurant was already done too, i think those are flashbacks, you watch the cutscenes? those really tell if it are flashbacks or not, know that one he got stabbed by knife? thats a good example!

Hitman: Contracts does indeed revisit some of the old maps from Hitman: Codename 47 - although they are heavily reworked and 2 levels from memory are actually crammed together as 1 Contracts level - but much of the story (which isn't a lot but is important IMO) is still only explored in the first Hitman game. If you don't like the mechanics or can't get used to the now-dated game: at the very least watch a youtube playthrough of Hitman: Codename 47.
