Anyone else encountered weapons vanishing?

I was collecting all the weapons and I dropped my silent M4 to pick up another weapon, it's no longer avaliable in the weapon menu.

Going to try to re-SA Deadly Cargo to see if I can get it back.

I am playing on Professional.

EDIT: I re-SA'd Deadly Cargo and got my Silenced M4 back, I don't recall this happening on my Normal Save a few years back so maybe it's a thing from Silent Assassin left over? I never left weapons behind in Hitman 2.

Pretty interesting, all I can think of is that you accidentally went back to an older save. For some reason, Contracts loads your weapons EXACTLY how the save was. Go back to an older save, the weapons obtained later disappear.

...on the flip side, losing a weapon only means having to reload the save you just left off on to get it back~

Nvm that statement~ Just went and checked. And yeah, the game is being 'semi' realistic, leaving behind weapons also means leaving them behind for good~

And THAT'S why there's a weapons retrieval fee in Blood Money~
