I just don't know if I want to repeat the whole mission again because of this. I play on "pro".
You need to blow up the submarine, yes, but you have to time it too.
There are 2 idle guards and 1 patrolling guard very near the submarine. All 3 of them will be dead but these deaths won't count for your rating. There is another guard who you have to kill as well.
[The devs didn't do a good job making this obvious].
There is another patrolling guard who patrols and in a loop meets near the 2 submarine stationary guards. When that patrolling guard comes near the other 2 stationary guards, blow up the sub and all 4 of them will die. Otherwise, the 4th guard won't die and will hear the blast, approach the dead bodies and ring the alarm.
So, out of the 4 near the sub, 3 will always die, but the 4th one, will need to be near the 2 stationary guards and be in close proximity of the sub to be dead from the blast. This will prevent dead bodies from being found and will prevent an alert.
There will be other guards that will hear the blast and approach the sub but weirdly enough, they won't trigger the alarm.
