Why use bow/crossbow over pistol?
I'm glad that all ranged weapons now share the same ammo pool.

But I haven't figured out yet a reason to pick a bow or a crossbow now, since pistols deal noticeably more damage.

Am I missing something obvious?

Ye I thought this as there's no draw back in weight either!
Sent feedback to devs asking the weight on bows at least to drop dramatically so its a viable option over gun's & other long range weapons which do significantly more damage with no more extra weight.
Also, for some reason, it seems like pistol and crossbow shots can be charged for some extra damage, too!

Oof, I fear they'll make pistols heavier instead.
Would make it more balanced though
I also found out that armor from the charmeleon is insanely good with little weight. So You can equip armor with like +2 more defense but adding 15weight.

Correct. Pretty sure that's how you inflict the elemental damage attached to a weapon, if it has an element to begin with.
