i just dont get why youd have dlc items on launch.

makes me ask "am i not getting the full game without the dlc?" "is there an advantage or disadvantage related to the dlc?"

not for or against the idea...just left with a bit of doubt

Hey Krazypickle,

Thank you for sharing your thoughts – we really appreciate the feedback.

We understand your concern, and we want to assure you that the base game is a complete experience. The DLC items were designed to provide optional extras for players who want a bit more out of their journey.

The Hair to the Throne Pack is entirely cosmetic and doesn’t impact gameplay. Similarly, the Augur of the Draugr Armour Pack offers weapons and armor that can be used in-game, but they’re not necessary to enjoy or succeed in combat. The game is balanced so that everyone, regardless of DLC, can have a fantastic time.

As for the soundtrack and artbook, those are extras for the super fans who want to dive deeper into the incredible work our team put into creating this world.

We wanted to give players choices without compromising the core experience, and we hope that helps clarify our approach.

Is the Draugr armor just given to you immediately, or is it something you earn or find once you buy it? I don't want to mess up my playthrough by immediately just having something that's op

The Draugr weapon and armor are given to you immediately upon purchasing the DLC, but don’t worry, it’s designed to complement the early game rather than overpower it.

For comparison, the Draugr Axe is rated 17 in damage, while the starting Dull Axe is rated 15. However, the Draugr Axe is also 2 points heavier, so there are trade-offs to consider. It’s balanced to give you options without disrupting the core experience or making things feel too easy.

And ultimately, you don't have to use it, if you don't want to.
