Whetstone

The whetstone your father gives you on the first hunt during the tutorial part is gone. The tutorial takes me through the steps explaining how to equip and use it, but it's not anywhere to be found? It's not in my inventory anywhere and it is not equipped to my quick items either. Has this happened to anyone else? Please help.

Yeah, you get other stone, i use it and its gone now

Whetstones are a one-time use item, and can be purchased through vendors throughout the game :)

oh, good. I thought that they're used like in Lies of P to regularly sharpen the blade, so was afraid that it's a bug.

That was my exact first thought as well. I thought it was permanent, and wondered where it went but yeah, it's a consumable. It's pretty cheap to purchase, though, so it's not a huge deal to get some whenever you need one.

They changed it! In the demo you had to constantly sharpen your weapon to actually do damage, which was really cumbersome! Now it's much better. Also the whetstones are super cheap :D

Just to confirm what 3mbr@c3_m3 mentioned, we listened to player feedback and changed how the whetstone worked for the full game.

Honestly, it's pretty awesome to hear. I like the idea of having buffs i can apply that dont have a timer on them. I hate the idea of having to buff myself for them to fall off 30 secs later and have to rush to use something.
