Spore: Galactic Adventures

Spore: Galactic Adventures

Random furniture as buildings.
I'm sure this has been discussed by others before me, but my search attempts didn't really get me any further...

Is there anything I can do about random civilisations spawning a chair for their capital building?
I tried banning them from my game, but that seems to have stopped working as the last few times the offending object simply wasn't replaced when I loaded back in.

I realise that these (often very well made) objects might serve a purpose in some adventures or whatever, but it really breaks immersion for me when I get attacked by a species who uses a flag for a space ship and a table for a home...

Set your sporepedia setting to only download creations from friends; or even better, not to download any creations at all an just use the default Maxis ones.

People should use the GAprop tag, which only works when there are no other tags.

@fauxpas I suppose that would work but it kind of limits the world sadly...

@Chocice75 I read that somewhere. Too bad I have no influence over what other people do...

Thanks for the responses anyways. I guess I'm just doomed to remove everything manually everytime it downloads something like that. Managed to get rid of a lot of it the other day.

Meh; I've found that 99% of the creations on Sporepedia are total garbage anyways so my game is better off without penises and breasts, ect.

I've yet to see those in my game. Somehow my universe always ends up looking like a yardsale.

I've never even buddied anyone. Or looked into how to even do that. I did try banning everything from a single creator, because appearently he was where most of that crap came from, but appearently that's not a thing either.

I guess my two options are getting everything including all the crap or severly limiting what I'm gonna see in the game. I guess it doesn't really matter. Thanks for the answers guys.

Try deleting everything in Appdata/Roaming/Spore except for the Games folder (unless you want to wipe your save files) to delete all of your creatures. Then, subscribe only to sporecasts instead of buddying with creators. You may end up having to delete your games as well. Typically, if you go into pause menu and specifically click the ban button, the game will go back to the main menu so that it can remove creations that you ban.

Unfortunately most creators just plop their creations in and don't make a sporecast for people who actually don't want to see floating posed animals, plant creatures, or chairs running around their world. The only way to get creations without gay props GAProps or posed gifts and other junk is to either have them in a sporecast, or make a sporecast yourself/delete all of their trash manually.

I will look into this. Thanks.

As Bluegill said, you need to either place everything you want into a Sporecast, delete all unwanted content in the game’s files, or manually added the “gaprop” tag to everything. Please note that CREATURES ARE NOT EFFECTED BY GAPROP, any creature will still show up in your game.
