Freedom cheat in game?
OK, so I've gotten myself into a bit of a pickle. I was running a mod that, unbeknownst to me, raised the too-many-parts limit on my creations. I played through an entire from-cell run with that mod. However, when it got to space, it unveiled a bunch of new mechanics that I didn't like, and made my game crash a lot, so I deleted it. However, now I am above the too-many-parts limit so much so that I can't put any gear on my captain, even if I remove all clothing! So, is there a way to fix it without reinstalling the mod? The "Freedom" cheat keeps telling me "it only works in the non-game editors," so that may be a problem.

Nope, the ''freedom'' cheat, as you already mentioned, doesn't work in a playthrough, and it doesn't give unlimited complexity as the mod did, so you are kinda lost without the mod now.

If you don't give a ♥♥♥♥ about achievements you can just start a space game with your base creature and use the cheats to add all the proper traits from cell to civ.

If you don't have a copy of your base creature, you can strip the tribal/civ/space ♥♥♥♥ off of it and get a base creature by following this video, completely vanilla Galactic Adventures.
