Spore: Galactic Adventures

Spore: Galactic Adventures

Unlimited Complexity?
I remember that I used to play this game forever ago with a mod that allowed me to have infinite complexity in all the editors without using 'freedom'. I don't remember what is was nor how to install it though. Is there a mod somewhere that would let me effectively use freedom-ed creatures ingame? I enjoy making very complex looking creatures, but they are way more fun to try to use ingame than just to look at in an editor. A way to temporarily freedom a creature and then remove the freedom flag so it can be used ingame post freedom works too.

(I don't want to hear about that being OP, Spore has damage caps and lots of balance issues, as well as the fact that you can get lvl 5 everything with enough patience and DNA with the complexity limits in place. I asked for help, not arbitrary comments.)

I do recall the mod was called "Dark Spore." but I remember reading how Steam bought Spore doesnt allow (or work well) with mods.

It is possible to add Mods to the Steam version of Spore Galactic Adventures (Not possible with CoreSpore on Steam or any version.) You can use Max Complexity Creatures with the Mod Dark Injections, but you need the Forcesave fix. More at>>> http://davoonline.com/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=33&t=4912&p=29804&hilit=Forcesave#p29804

The latest version of Spore is the same as the Steam version, all mods which work with the Origin version work with the Steam version.

The mod is called "Dark Injection". It adds a lot of new parts along with unlimited (sort-of) complexity, tons of DNA for the creature creator and more.
"Sort-of"? While it definitely sounds more interesting than vanilla, what's the sort of about?

Software limitations, having too many parts will cause the game to either crash or freeze when saving, which means that the creature isn't saved. This limit is really hard to reach if you aren't covering your creature with tiny parts.

Ah, okay. So you meant due to system limitations rather than just having a cap, say, double the size. Sounds fine to me.

its not. On potato pc you can have hunderds of parts without even fps impact. There were mods for that but latest patch made them broken
