Mouse Hitbox

I'm a longtime fan of Spore, and just now chose to buy it on Steam, but all of the hitboxes for all of the buttons is slightly higher up than the texture of the button. This, obviously, bothers me enough to ask for help from anyone who know anything I can do to fix the issue. Thanks in advance!

Try putting it at a slightly lower resolution. I've heard that spore doesn't work the best with 1920x1080 due to how old it is.

well my monitor got the same resolution, and it's working fine for me. could also be some rare bug/glitch. *This glitch also occurres with different versions of the Dark Injection Mod so, you have to play on a different resolution to avoid this glitch if you want to use the mod

Just google for PlatinumSpore (2.0 version or better, if possible, got version 2.0.1)
Go to Davoonline and look for DarkInjection (latest version) and maybe hit up for davo unlimited complexity mod.
Look up Spore ForceSaveMod, so you can save your modded creatures.

*PlatinumSpore and BetterSpore don't like each other, don't mix em up!*

Spore works perfectly with 1920 x 1080 fullscreen. BUT you just have to hit ALT+ENTER to make the game windowed, and then ALT+ENTER again and then the mouse hitbox works normally. Keep in mind, though, that every time you ALT+TAB you have to do this again.

I'm alt-tabbing all the time, and got no problem.

if you are still interested to fix the game, check out the "how to play spore in 2018" guide, it makes the game optimal and makes it run in 60fps

alt-tabbing also allegedly ♥♥♥♥♥ it up. I heard that the windowed mode keyboard shortcut can fix it (i think its ctrl + enter?) so just going to windowed then back to full screen should help. Cant gurentee it though
