Hey everyone! This is a little mod I made years ago, but has since become lost, for the most part. The latest version that can be found online seems to be 1.8.1.

Here's the latest 2.0 version, directly from where it's been gathering dust in the archives of my personal Dropbox.

The complete change log for this version is one thing I've yet to find, but a brief summary of its changes is as follows:

CELL STAGE
- Replaces Cell Editor with 3D editor.
- Many minor changes to Cell gameplay.

CREATURE STAGE
- 1.5x longer (needs more DNA collection to progress).
- Strike 1 is replaced by a weak Stomp.
- Charge 4 & 5 are Static Charge abilities.
- Spit 5 is a paralyzing Lightning Spit
- Flying is much more useful.
- Eating fruit or the first bite of a corpse grants small amounts of DNA.
- Smaller creatures can be picked up and thrown about.
- Sea Monster completely removed. Your species will have nests on other continents, but I haven't found a way to have other animals' nests get there too (yet).
- Nest populations are increased.

TRIBE & CIV STAGE
- Many small changes to the gameplay of these stages.

SPACE STAGE
- Scores of new tools and weapons.
- Massive gameplay changes across the board.

INCORPORATED MODS
- BetterSpore
- Corporations
- So many others that I forgot, all merged in to ensure compatibility.
- Log's CityWalls mod (look for the Flag icon in Space colony planner) with my own tweaks and additions
- Genetic Modifier added to Tribe, Civ, and Space stages. From your colony/hut/city planner, go to the Outfit tab, and the Genetic Modifier will be present. You MUST remove all outfit parts in the Genetic Modifier for it to let you save. Add outfit parts back in the Outfitter.



Installation:
Place the .Package file in your Steam\steamapps\common\spore\Data AND DataEP1 folders.

I used SporeMaster to unpack the base game files and to pack my mod. I do not know where it can be found, if it still can be, nor if there is a less buggy mod maker these days.

NOTE:
Steam automatically patches the game to 1.5, which unfortunately makes almost all mods essentially nonfunctional. The only way to make it work is by running Galactic Adventures instead of the regular Spore app. You can try to circumvent this by renaming the package file to something like 'a_platinumspore2.0.package'. Can't guarantee it, though.

TRANSLATION & LOCALISATION
If you want to translate this mod into your native language, download the locale files here:

Edit them in a standard text editor. Only the lines starting with '0x' will be visible in game, so only translate those, leaving the 0x0000000 numbers intact. Send me the files so I can compile the mod into a localised version.

> Updated the entries for game servers to reflect recent Spore updates, so the online functions work correctly. Still had some legacy configs hanging out in my files. May still be more, but I have confirmed most creations will be populated into your game from the servers correctly.

> Figure out a better tool placement for Weapons panel. It's too cluttered. Needs a concrete arrangement. Maybe combat combat in the main panel, and aux combat in the subsequent panels? Not sure; suggestions welcome.

Всем привет! Это небольшой мод , который я сделал много лет назад, но забросил на долгое время. Последняя версия, которую вы можете найти в интернете - 1.8.1.

Полный журнал изменений мне найти так и не удалось, но если вкратце, то изменения выглядят так:

ЭТАП КЛЕТКА
- Заменён редактор клетки 3D редактором.
- Большое количество мелких изменений самого этапа.

ЭТАП СУЩЕСТВО
- В 1.5 раза длиннее (требуется больше ДНК чтобы завершить этап).
- Удар на 1 заменён слабым пинком под зад.
- Плевок 4 И 5 начальные уровки плевка.
- Полёт теперь гораздо полезнее.
- При поедании плода или при первом укусе трупа вы получаете небольшое количество ДНК.
- Вы можете взять маленькое существо и кинуть его куда подальше.
- Морской монстр безобиден, но он есть. Пересечь океан возможно, как и играть на других континентах. Но это очень багово
- Увеличено количество гнёзд.

ЭТАП ПЛЕМЯ И ЦИВИЛИЗАЦИЯ
- Небольшие изменения геймплея на этих этапах.

ЭТАП КОСМОС
- Множество новых инструментов.
- Огромное изменение геймплея этапа по всем направлениям.

ВСТРОЕННЫЕ МОДЫ
- BetterSpore
- Corporations
- И так много других, которые я забыл, но все они объединены и полностью совместимы друг с другом
- Log's CityWalls mod (ищите иконку флага(Flag)в окне Колонизации) с моими фишками и дополнениями
- Редактор существ на этапе Племя, Цивилизация и Космос. В колонии/хижине/ратуше зайдите в раздел экипировки, и откроется редактор существ. Вам НЕОБХОДИМО УДАЛИТЬ всю экипировку в редакторе существ, чтобы сохранить существо. Если вам нужна экипировка, добавьте её в редакторе экипировки обратно.

Is it at all possible to make a version without the extra spices (chilli etc). They make it basically impossible to make money via spice, because they're never in demand unless you carry 20+ types at all times.

Or a step-by-step on how to modify the package would also work, although I saw what someone said about packing the mod bugging it out.

Heh. Chilli is one of the stock spices, just renamed. Those are common enough that they're pretty worthless. But if you do a bit more diligent searching and get some pepper/salt/(whatever I called the really pale blue one) then you'll make bank.

It takes a bit more effort with PS, but you can make significantly more with spice than you can with the base game.

As for modifying the mod... I'm honestly not too sure, myself. I guess I must have meddled too much with SporeMaster's alias files, because at some point after v1.6 of my mod I noticed that if I tried to unpack it again that SM was unable to unpack it properly.

It might have to be manually extracted with some other technique, preserving as many of the custom aliases as possible, then loaded in SM, perhaps changing the [spacetools] and such aliases back to their original form spacetools~ in the files and in the names.txt file before loading it into SM.

Is there a way to make Davos' unlimited complexity work with Platinum Spore? I've found that installing it makes the cell stage flat again, for example.
Not really, no.
So was city templates never a thing experimented with, or would it involve too many things to reliably do?
Is there a way to add unlimited complexity(The mechanic, not the mod) to Platinum Spore perhaps? I enjoy making very complicated looking creatures, but I also really love PS' expansions. I don't mind trying to add it myself somehow if it isn't too complicated. I just don't know how.

I'm playing with Dark injection and Platinumspore, haven't run into any obvious issues.

Also Ive sent an email about the special weapon you get when you collect all the ancient scriptures but hsvent received anything yet

I hate to bother, but what is the latest version as of march 2018? Thanks.
I also hate to pose a question, but I've noticed with a few of the upgrades, namely the platinum cargo upgrade and interstellar drive, it listed the requirements as "Gopher 5, Trader 4, and", but there is no extra requirement. When I achieve both Gopher and Trader, it is still locked with "Requires " and it's blank. Is this a bug or am I missing something? A couple of things seem impossible to unlock.

I'm fairly confident there is a "Tech" requirement as well like owning some other "tool" first.
