cant start at different stages
i have am busy with the space stage havent completed it yet but i have played the other stages but when i whanted to start a new creature i couldnt start in the creature stage only in cell and space stage anyone knows why? i know for sure that i could just skip some stages before.

That is odd. Usually you unlock a stage as a starting place after you reach and start it, so all the stages should be unlocked for you. It might be a glitch. I'd reccommend starting a new save, and going through the cell stage and starting the creature stage, then going back to the main menu to see if the creature stage is unlocked.

Not sure exactly how it works, but basically you have to spend a certain amount of time playing a stage in the normal game progression before it unlocks as a stage you can start in.

If you want to bypass this, you can use the console command (ctrl+shift+c to open/close console) 'levels -unlock'.

I always thought it unlocked the stage to be able to start at it simply by getting to that stage, and didn't require you to play at that stage to unlock it.

why would anyone want to leave the creature stage. It's probably the best stage in the game with the best gameplay experience. The rest basically turns your game into Age of Empires/Starcraft (not putting them down, i love those games), but just don't offer those elements the creature stage does
