The very first one with the very first attempt.
Apparently i might have to grind a couple of more days before it´s really do-able, yet unsure if grinding really helps with how the challenge is set up.

It´s just frustrating, that i tried every shard, moveing, chaning stuff and nothing worked out, yet it still states: "should be completable"

The challenges require you to make very specific builds because most bonuses are disabled. https://spaceidle.game-vault.net/wiki/Challenges has a guide for every challenge step and which requirements you're probably going to need.

I figured that out, it seems there is 1 way to do this thing and no other.
Thanks.

But without the wiki i would have just skipped the challenge at all and proceeded without it.
The main problem is, you can't really skip the challenges for too long. The bonuses they provide will cut down the times on a lot of other things.

Haven't touched a wiki or guide for this game, myself, but I'm only at sector 50.

I might just close and de-install the game and move to the next if it no longer provides me with sufficient amount of fun and fails to keep my interest.

But i am right now finishing that one at least :)

Pretty much, yes. There is basically only one active system in each challenge, and often requires a specific weapon setup (gatlings. It's always gatlings :D) because it scales much better with the system of the challenge.
I found them fun back then, they are pretty much a one-and-done deal, once you know how they work they are finished quickly enough, and the bonuses they offer are massive, even if they don't sound like much at first glance, the way the scaling works, they all are giving you a decent boost.

Would be nice if he figured out some new challenges.

Some minor - nice QOL bonuses that could be had and a less boring way to unlock them than hitting a buy button.

I mean its the nature of the game. I'm 300 hours in and just hit level 50 and unlocked crew. Could things be done faster? Maybe.

I'm pretty sure that text does not account for the fact that you might be missing stats in the challenge proper, like modules.

Admittedly, challenges suck. The game is MUCH better down the line.
you never have to bother with challenges after you reach sector 85

You make a good point, I think. Lots of things sold for AI points (a scarce resource in the grand scheme of things, and soft premium currency :vomit:) would be better off as rewards for doing X, like a challenge, or milestone.

AI points aren't that scarce unless you buying time skips like crazy. I've got 5500 still and have all the AI upgrades and have bought more than a few time skips.
AI points are scarce until circa 40
Then you are drowing in points and can buy pretty much every QoL traits

Maybe the cost of early game traits (Shard compacting, computer auto 1% and auto buy) should be lowered.

Back on the challenge topic, some are much more difficult than other. I had to grind to get Computer while Synth and Reactor were both easy and obvious.
First level of Base was easy, I had to try many solutions to get second level and after that, I admit looking up at a guide for 3 and 4.
