crew Mastery 6?
Somebody once told me that by the time I was ready to use them, I'd understand the function of crew sleeve respec, and that I'd be thankful for them by the time I was going for mastery 6.

Fleet wasn't out when I was told this, so I'm farther now... but I still haven't figured out what these are for, or how they'd help me get 600 sleeves worth of progress to go from 5 to 6.

Somebody care to explain what I'm missing?

What's crew sleeve respec?

it gives you sleeves like if you had prestiged, which includes the regeneration timer for sleeves resetting to minimum again too.

in short, you get alot of crewsleeves, reset the regeneration to be faster again and not loose so much mastery progress.

you really dont need them, they just can make things easier.
imo they were more helpfull getting the first few masteries when your regen of sleeves end to be several days.

what crew sleeves respect? it resets your crew sleeves
if you dont know what crew is, dont bother. you will unlock it someday.
Huh. I've seen crew mastery respec but never noticed sleeve respec before.

yeah its in the consumables tab in AI
bottom right for 100 points
extra painfull if you buy the wrong one cause you want mastery reset

A crew sleeve respect is a consumable that resets the crew tab like with a prestige. Personally, I can't imagine actually using one. It resets mastery progress, so you can't use just use it for additional sleeves for that.

There are times when you've gained so much crew XP bonus that your starting sleeves will let you gain a full mastery level, but at that point, you can also just do an actual prestige. That means losing things like your scrap, void, and compute levels, and it might take a few minutes to get back to your previous sector where crew XP is good, but this isn't a big deal. I guess if you want to save a few minutes under these specific circumstances, you can use that consumable. It's definitely not worth buying for this, and I was never tempted to use one of my free ones.

If the residual xp when prestieging was more then 1.1 you'd be able to build one up over time, but 1.1 does not reach unity.

Easier, HOW?

Or is the time when it DID make things easier past, because the cap is half an hour or less with maxed xeno and a healthy multiplier?

early game when you have to wait for sleeves alot and barely have starter once. you can boost your run with starter once and first few regen once, sleeve reset and be in higher areas pushing for mastery faster cause more exp, plus regen is not on max time needed yet so you can get more prints out for that.

its just a tiny timesave to get the first masteries. i dont say its needed.

The person that told you that you'd be thankful for them when going for mastery 6 was really exaggerating but let me spell out the scenario. You just spent all your sleeves leveling a crew's mastery and you have nearly none left, less than you'd have from a prestige (which can be up to like 30 something). So you use a sleeve respec to instantly gain a bunch of sleeves and it resets the generation timer to its lowest value which is another few sleeves. That's it, that is how sleeve respecs are useful. You basically just time skipped on just sleeves.

But someone above said it resets mastery too. So I guess it's useful to not have to grind the raw resources again and that's it?
Late game it drops to 1 minute per sleeve anyway, and before hitting that point I never actually found it necessary to grind out mastery so... I got to clear out all fleet content without focusing too much on mastery.

Yeah. In cases where you would potentially use the consumable, you can just perform an actual prestige instead. So all you're really saving is the time to get back from sector 73 to where you were before, plus the scrap, void, and compute levels. So you're saving maybe a few minutes.

What I used them for was resetting the sleeve timer after leveling a couple crew. It doesn't reset mastery, just the xp you gained that "prestige".

Basically it allows you to continue on a max scrap/void setup and switch to the next crew to level a bit faster. It's something like + 40 (can't recall the exact off the top of my head) sleeve inventory without having to spend the time or sleeves doing a start up build.

I'd say more useful for 4-5 than 5-6 for most people but you can get around an hours worth of time saved from one. Once you have master gain up from base and the one module I can see where it'd have some more utility for 5-6.
