Sector 117 Sucking with fighters
I'm currently pretty hardwalled by fighters, it's taking *forever* for them to break parts on the boss of sector 117, meaning I don't stand a chance against the boss.

damage and durability are at tier 107 with no way of speeding up the process thanks to capping crew, all damage specs are full with 101 points total, I'm on agility 2.0 fighters that are just getting one shot by point defence, meaning out of 6 fighters per pass, only 1 usually makes it out alive despite the second tier of fighter agility module and 87% evasion. All fighters are level 15 running in and out.

I'm about halfway through galaxy 5, so I have all the damage and compute upgrades, research is at e48 with a day or so per research when focusing, overdrives are t12, pushing 13 across the board.

Synth wise I'm on T13, combination alloy with 1 day to hit 80, warp wise I'm getting about 1.5e79 per warp if I focus it and I've bought all the damage upgrades up to the final one at 13/100 currently.

It's feeling like a solid wall and I don't have anything to cycle to try and improve it. Any help/suggestions?

Compute and overdrive look good to me. I'm not that far beyond you at sector 120.
You're not mentioning alien synth. You may be able to get a decent increase (probably around x1.5 damage and durability) from the module.
Also make sure your Void Recuperator module isn't active.

If it isn't a module issue I'd suggest an overnight run focusing on resources gathering. Although if your fighters are level 15 again I'm not that far beyond (mine are level 18).

Alien synth might be the only thing lacking, I'm at level 34 of the alien bio material. It's taking 5 days to finalise, so I haven't been focusing on it too much, so all of the slurries are lv 1. I haven't been having an issue with specimens, so I haven't focused on them. That and they take ages to level up

There's also fixtures. I think at that point you should be near the end of the first row.
I'm at 3/35 for the second row for every fixture, top row complete. It's about 1hr 20 for one fixture currently, with siphoning

Why don't you return to basic figthers? They have more durability plus shield.
Alien synth for module, research for fighter buffs, active usage of reactor for temp buffs - can't think about anything else to add.

Edit: Oh, you can also focus on basic resources, turn off auto upgarde on weapons and shields to focus solely on fighters

Just to make sure, you do not by chance have any levels in the Ressource Tradeoff Spec? (Rightmost Skill in the Compute Tab)
Forgetting that you put a point in that might hamper your progress considerably.
Basic fighters are guaranteed to die in one pass, rather than 5/6 for agile, is why currently. I'll grind alien synths a little as I haven't done that. Temp buffs with fighters via reactor didn't help at all. research is currently on at least a day per tech when specialising in research, making it slightly unfeasible.

No I don't, but it's a good point, putting a few points in its opposite might help me after I get a few more buffs

Do you have tier 2 fighters? I turned to basic one after getting tier 2 from agile. There was some point where evasion stopped working, which nullifies the main point of agile.

Do you have tier 2 fighters? I turned to basic one after getting tier 2 from agile. There was some point where evasion stopped working, which nullifies the main point of agile.

Yes I do, basic fighters at t2, level 15 are dying in 2 ish passes currently.

I think level 15 isn't fully upgraded. Each level gives 5% stats i think. Before galaxy 5, I pushed to 120 without the newest upgrades. Reactor was around t15-16 after 2 months of grind. So, its doable. Try to push those level of core with module and syphon. 5% is quite a a jump.
I'm right there at 117 too, without any problems and even lower overall progress than you have. Capital weapon and shields are at lvl 60, i haven't done much in alien synth besides the first research module, my warp progress is lower, my agile fighters are at lvl 13 and dying in the first pass but still it takes only two main weapon cycles to kill the ship. Don't know what's going on there, BUT i couldn't be there without the capital shard.
I do hope you didn't forget to use it.


Edit: Warp wise you mean 13/100 at the thrid to last upgrade? Because the others don't have 100 lvls....if so focus on that first.

what capital weapons are you running? I'm currently on capital laser 2 at level 60 ish. I have every capital ship buff active and can't put much of a dent in the shield before dying. Shield is at 1.3e62, weapon DPS is 8.6e59 without reactor buffs and weapon scaling option.

warp wise, I'm at 3/10 for the final capital battle improvement and 19/100 for the final fighter damage.

I'm running double burst cannon with the lower skills, they are at 1e59ish dps with capital reactor at lvl 11 28/100 and not active. The combined capital battle improvement in warp is at 2/10 for me.
Just swapped over to double burst and barely made a dent in the 117 boss before dying. With every fighter/capital buff I could put on.

No clue how you're beating the final boss of sector 117 in 2 hits with the same setup
