Sector 74 wall
I've reached sector 74 and I have to do various tasks.
But they're taking so long to do that I've basically quit the game, only to go on it once every few days.
I'd either have to spend money to get the AI points necessary to respect my crew choices entirely in order to upgrade the 4th base, which might still take over a week.
Or just open the game once every 3-4 days and get a single warp upgrade.

I don't know why you've put this into the game, but it has completely killed this game for me.

It was a good long time, I had a lot of fun, but all good things must come to an end I suppose.

Back to Melvor I go. Melvor has long grinds, but only progressing a very tiny amount once every 3-4 days, is much much worse. This is extremely boring.

ahh just so you do not quite, the 74 check list is more of you learning to opimize, Now a big thing here is crew, yep crew if you've read the skills at row 1 it's just more points and higher level the better that skill becomes.

Now in row 2 there is now your main stat or or combind stats, that grows the skill.
and row 3 we enter the stuff people read but some times forget about, and that is these skills hav dividers in them yep, if your crew has X then the skill is reduced to slag,

and this check list is all about going 100% into computer, crafting or warp. No half messures at all.

there is a guide that well aid you and should tell you about 1-2 week to clear all of area 74 check list.

The Steam guide section has something just for this. But yeah, this is where you learn to optimize your builds, because that's what the next section is basically going to be all about. Though less painful because that section drastically cuts down on crew sleeve generation time.

Edit: To give an example of how powerful optimization is, I can clear the synth requirement in around an hour or so. I think my first run at the Wall took me 2-3 days max, and even then that could be cut down further if I didn't spend so much time on base and research.

Computing is permanently maxed, so not that.
I'm currently doing warp, but I've gone from leaving the game on in the background, to checking it once every 3-4 days. It's taking so long. D=

I'd have to respec to upgrade bases, to get more warp multiplier, or continue waiting, and I cannot afford to respec.
Not a good time currently.

I've finished synth as well.

Ouch, you mean you didn't take the base mastery in crew then. That could be an issue.
Have you maxed out the manifest shard then? That one also gives warp essence bonus.
Otherwise try the warp loadout in the guide:

And see whether you can make any tangible progress. Like what's your warp core cooldown speed? You should be able to push it down to sub-2 minutes per core.

Definitely doable. I finished it two weeks ago, and it only took me ~5 days to bring my research and bases up to speed, and the clear all tasks within a few days.

can you link a Screenshot your warp essence gain multiplier from stats and info?

Shards maxed thankfully.
By my calculations (And by that I mean, adding the numbers up on my fingers and toes, as I suck at maths) it'll take about 3 weeks to finish the warp.

As for screenshots, err... I guess I could re-open the game, gimme an hour or so and I'll edit this comment.

Edit: Okay, fastest hour ever. The other game I had to fix thankfully had an autosave function, no fix required. Phew! The easiest kind of fix! I'm a genius.

I wasn't sure what you wanted screenshotted, so I just did a bunch of things.

You have the warp crew mastery so it's not that bad.
But hang on, is that how you leave your bases? Or is it that it just so happens to look like that now?
My recommendation is to just follow the guide and see how far you can push then. Because the way you do it is really suboptimal. You want to first build to push non-components up with optimal crew and loadout, then swap over to pushing components because the crew skills are allocated differently.

The issue with bases is, that I don't have the crew thing to boost them. So they take forever to increase and of course, I cannot afford a crew re...mastery... choice... thingy.

The guide doesn't say how to layout the bases, I just went with what someone on google had.

Crew mastery isn't the only thing that boost them, the crew skills themselves also boost them as well, and those are really substantial. Things like Industrial Engineer and Logistics Manager.

Scroll down, use a build to farm up non-components, so the green and gear things with crew set. Then you need to reprint your crew to farm up components, then you want to set your base to the one focused on the red things.

Green one at the bottom is the same as what I have.
It's going to take 5 hours to upgrade building materials, and that's with the crew and the shards all set for it (Synth too).
And that's just for building matierals on base 4. I'm pretty sure it's done being useful for a long time.

Yeah, by the time it hits 5 minutes that's already done. Tbf 800 doesn't seem too low, recommended is 1.3k. Whats your warp core charge time then?
Manifest shard is blue linked to orange? Warp core shard in orange? Flex shard in green?
Researcher with maxed T2 warp core skill? XP with maxed T1 warp core skill with the rest in T3 warp essence skill?
No active acumen at all within any of your crew?
Layla Spellwind Oct 13, 2024 @ 1:27pm
Warp core charge time was down to 53 seconds I think.
I'd have to set everything back to how it was just to be sure.
But getting the base to 1.3k will take, probably longer than it takes to do the warp, and that's already looking like 3 weeks to a month.

Man, this game is more headache than fun. It was nice when it progressed fast, but this part of the game is just terrible.

Well, I can't help you anymore then since you've probably done everything right except the crew mastery thing.
Maybe they should give out 2 crew mastery respecs when you hit the wall tbh, first one for people to waste and a second one for people to use. Since they seem really impactful.
Because with proper crew masteries, you can get through this section in 2-3 days, probably less if you don't push your base and research that far.

Well, thank you anyway, you've helped more than I expected from the steam community forums. XD
I guess I'll leave it on bases for a while, if nothing else, the numbers going up are more interesting than waiting on the warp essence. Even if they take just as long as the warp did, number go up is good.

Regardless, my plan will be to play Melvor instead in the mean time.

Have a lovely day, thank you for trying. <3
