How to reach unstable transit beyond stage 8?

I'm not sure if I've missed something or it is just how the current content is. I've made a few attempts playing unstable transit - my best run stage is always stage 7. Maybe some others can beat stage 8, but anything beyond that seems impossible since the ship strength, ship numbers. starting resources etc. reset every run. Is there any way to progress unstable transit in the current game version?

Hey ive just gotten to this too. I don't think its possible. It says work in progress and the current rewards power levels are so trivial I don't think its something we are meant to be worrying about.

Unstable transit is basically between content filler. You're not intended to make significant progress in it.

At the moment, reaching stage 10 is absolutely impossible.
Stage 9 is extremely unlikely, but I can see it being possible just because some layout are ridiculously easier than other (also getting additional fighter is so much better in my opinion than any of the other two ship). I think my best is stage 9 with 98 or 88 fleet ressource.
Stage 8, you need some luck and stage 7 should be standard result.
This is with I would say 20-25 unstable tries. And we will have better and better answer to the random layout to save every single unit of fleet ressource in early stages.
