Reinforce 2-4 clear speed

I've seen comments that people are clearing R2-4 in 8-9 days at R2. How are they doing this so fast? I'm on day 14 for R2 and at 89. Any tips on what to hyper focus on?

my experience with reinforces is trying to go to fast can actually delay you more. It is better to take the time to ensure you have a solid foundation rather than rushing and having to redo stuff more times than you need to. I am currently in sector 90 on R3

Each reinforce has new new unlocked abilities, core, and shards. much like the others just make sure to cap out each Vshard if the new sectors and use them to their maximum potential, which usually requires a decent crew setup (i think you should be getting a few Crew mastery 3's before you finish R2). look for way to maximize the new core.

some of the new unlocked abilities like Overdrive just takes time and there is no way to shorten that prior to R4 other then doing a reactor push and working on fixtures to help cut the early charge times. R3 is easier on the initial charge speeds though because of the new bonuses.

while you have to work everything on Overdrive at some point, you do need a minimum in the first 3 to cross that sector 90 barrier so unless your working on something specific try and keep those 3 at a high level and save the charges to push through when needed.

-keep in mind most people that blitzed through the content sat at the content wall for one reason or another, and we saved a few items with AI points, or it happened during the Xmas event where we got some bonuses like 20x reactor Vmax/Gen boosts where we could push past our max OD charge speeds by a decent amount.

2weeks sounds about right so you are probably on the right track anyways. just a time thing.

Thats making me feel better. I feel pretty confident in my knowledge of the game and was feeling like i was missing something huge if i was falling so far behind in time.

There are also Time Skips for boring sections.

It took me longer than I see said here, often.

And now I'm at the end of the content pretty much, and a little... bored? I know for some people that min-maxing all the mechanics in preparation is great, but I liked have something of a clear goal.

we all get to that point while waiting for content. I just open it every few days now to see if i should use all the bio sleeves to make more Mastery 6's. switch the overdrives up to try and make everything T9/10. these preps can help a lot like the last content update from R3 ->R4. some of us managed to hit sector 98 and get the 2nd key fragment. took a few extra days before reinforcing but made it much faster

62 days reinforce 1
43 days reinforce 2
32 days reinforce 3
14 days reinforce 4 on sector 96 atm

Grand total 247 days 57 minutes
Of which 2969.8 hours on screen time. So roughly 123 days while having the game open.
Could have done it way faster but why bother?

Take your time it is an idle game for a reason.

Is there a point in reinforcing for fleet power levels 2-8? I'm nearly at R2 (sector 84 rn) but there aren't any listed bonuses for R2 except for consumables. What's the benefit?

there is no benefit until s85 and game prevents you from reinforcing if you dont get any benefit

Ah, I see. Reinforcing at 85 brings you to fleet power 9, not fleet power 2. There is no fleet power 2, each reinforce brings you to the next listed tier. That was my question.
