There isnt a great comprehensive guide atm, but people here or the discord can help out if the base info wasnt enough
You might see low numbers at first but those are misleading really. Because jumping from just 1 to 2 means 100% increase. Later on it will go into several factor of thousands based on the e numbering and even a small increase in the total number can have big impact.
The basic thing to keep in mind is that once you unlock something in your prestige or sector tab it is a hint that you should immediately start focusing on it. (exception on weapon shield mark levels) I made the mistake once to ignore for example the Research station upgrade and it cost me days of progress gain.
Also do not forget your challenges they have such an big impact that once that tab starts flashing drop everything and try to get the next level done it can save you hours of time.
TLDR;
Focus on what unlocks (weapons, shield mark levels exceptions on this)
Do not be afraid to prestige often. Keeping the base consumable for later game is a good strategy. Do not neglect the challenge tab.
Also swapping out your weapons and shields to the right ones for the sector helps.
Sometimes you have to sit and wait for more Shards to build up and slot into V Device.
Unlocking some of the Achievements help as well.
I like to max out my Retreat cheevo early so I get a bump in shields.
Similar for pushing to different sectors in the base ship, gives a bump in DMG and DEF.
i spent a day idle at 900.+ for research and synth and base.
my best guess is put 3 green in the base for a while and upgrade them. unlock 3 more slots on the base for next run, and before you prestige, swap 1-2 green with red for a while to get the bonuses for next run.
the solution has to be prestige with base bonuses, because just simply idle compute did not cut it. i gave it a day to get unlimited all tier 1 synth and still got chewed up at about 2000x compute modifiers..
i'm just wondering if i should swap to 3x gatling, since it seems to be doing far better than beam and charge.
Lets try it.
