Are the last 1-2 Computer Challenges even possible right now?

So I have pretty much done everything there is to do right now in the game.

Except for the computer challenges. I just dont see how I can get enough damage/shield in this one to reach the sector I need to clear.

All computers are running on full speed, put everything I can on extra levels. I.e. there is no way I can get more salvage, hence not getting any stronger.

Am I missing something or are they just not possible right now?

It's possible but not feasible. Currently the max salvage you can get is ~1e27/second, which means it will take days to get enough salvage to level up your equipment enough to get those last two done. Also, while the scaling falls off, constantly fighting new waves will slowly increase your damage and shields due to the tracking and shielding core abilities. You could probably do the last couple in maybe a week or two of just having the game running constantly while using void beacon to maximize waves.

The last compute challenge requires Crew, specifically Cyber Specialist's perk that greatly increases levels/second cap, which supposedly means more salvage.

Its possible, i beat the last Challenge within 4-5 hours.
1 Beamlaser 5 Laser canons 2 deflector shields and farm the improved tracking to about 10x-15x not sure what i had at that point, then it should be possible with laser boost.
You should have 1e27 salvage to push cores as much as possible.
But yes, it is the nasties Challenge to beat.

As I said I have this, quite high even with Mastery 2 Cyber Specialist and all.

Still even after almost 7 hours i barely could beat the 7th challenge. It is just not a nice challenge

Like i said, then your core buildup is wrong, 7 hours should be enough to beat the last challenge.
Laser canons compeltly second row and beam mass focuser and laser boost.
Beam laser should be out of the box min 1e14dps and with farming when you have about 1e16 dps you should beat it.

I assume for the laser cannons you just do mk1 and for the beam laser mk 3?

Edit: I modified it a bit, using 1 mk 3 beam, 4 mk 2 laser cannons, and a mk 2 kinetic cannon and was able to complete sector 19 within an hour. With the kinetic cannon you get the buff for 8.5x laser damage for 10 seconds which helps for killing the boss. Gonna keep going cause my beam laser is still only lvl 65 so don't even have mass focuser yet.

Edit 2: 2h 54m 16s with a retrofit roughly 10 minutes in and have it done with the above setup - basically once the beam laser got to 70.

Definitely a core setup/configuration issue. I found this thread and did the recommended Beam laser x1, Laser Cannon x4, Kinetic Cannon x1 all focused on making the Beam laser do as much damage as possible with bonus armor damage for the sector 19 boss. The boss lasted less than a second. Defense was 2 bulk generators and 1 deflector shield using 2 deflection hits. Used level 3 on everything. Compute stats were maxed on all levels with my crew giving +1k levels. Was easy when I did it this way, not really possible otherwise unless I wanted to grind salvage for days on end.
