The additional levels from the few boosts that you have running will most likely not make as big of an impact as adding another big boost.
For example I always used the weapon\shield\synch\reserach\salvage when I start a run and replace salvage with computer once I get full-levels on my weapon\etc so I constantly was on x2 (and occasionally on x3 if I wanted computer early).
Synth, salvage and research are great example what to not run at once cuz its pointless. Without proper modules, shards and utility setup they has 0 effect, and you can set only for one of them at same time. And if you keep lvling up boost properly, you cant even run them at max anyway (until later stages).
Maybe you don't have enough module slots open yet?
I have more than enought.
But its not just modules. If you want to synth, you need synth station, you need synth shard in red slot and flex in orange. If you want research, you need research station, flex in red slot and research shard in orange (pink is taken by power shard). If you want salvage you need resource rafinery, salvage shard in pink, compute in orange and battleshard (i use it in red for firerate) linked to pink.
So each of it is exclusive. And using modules for all of them at same time means you sacrifice some mandatory modules like warp stabilizer or base coordinator.
