How to get more tips?
Are there specific triggers when cooking the food to make it more likely to get tipped? (apart from selecting foods with the "big tipper" enhancer?) Cooking and serving faster doesn't seem to have an effect. Just wondering....

I'd like to say your current combo probably influences it, but I have no idea.

Sucks when you throw six big tipper foods on your list and still get less than the 100$ of tips you need for the bet :/

Tips increase with the amount of perfect orders during a day. However it differs sometimes a bit.

Yep. Just make everything perfect. There's no guarantee at all, though. Perfect orders get tips, so you'll get more tips (hopefully) if you ace everything. Also, not every dish generates tips, so watch what you're selling.
I'm supprised at the lack of information on tips. i wonder if the creators will let us in on the secret.

It's a random element in the game. The Big Tipper increases the payout of the tip, but not the random chance.

If I were to redo it again I'd change this to be more in line with perfect orders per day or something, but the game is already balanced for the random tip, and to increase the payout on that would throw other things out of whack. So apologies for that, really should have thought about the balance of tipping a bit more.

So what you're basically saying is that you should have food on the menu that has as much buzz as possible while also having big tipper? Because that seems like the best option to me. And don't worry to much about that 1 mistake. You now know for future games what to pay attention to so just make sure you don't make the same mistake again.

I may see about adjusting tip stuff slightly in the new patch.

Yeah, it really sucks when you get a perfect day and only get $22 dollars in tips as a 4 star restaurant.

Enjoying the game so far, however the rgn for tips is making if quite difficult to earn the $100 needed to advance to the second star tier. On my second week and have had only $10 total in tips.

Any progress on this?

I took a look at it but decided not to modify it due to gameplay balances already built into the game. I definitely recommend having at least three "big tipper" foods and only put those on the menu for a day.

I don't get any tips and most my days are completely perfect. :/
No tips and no 'delicious order' numbers EVER show up... Regardless of how well I pay.

To clarify, Is this referring to CSD 1 or CSD 2? This is the first game's forums, but if you're playing the second at the moment, your issue is likely that you're not serving side dishes out of your holding stations (the batch fryers at the top of the screen during a play through).
