Code Error pop-ups

Hi there,
I'm getting some incessant and annoying pop-ups entitled "Code Error..." on the Linux x64 build of the game.

I understand debugging is important, but I believe these should automatically ignored and silenced for the user.
The exact message is "##### ERROR in action number 1 of Alarm Event for alarm 8 for object themainmenu() Illegal argument type at gml_Object_themainaenu()_Alarm_8 ####"

I, at first, encountered this only on startup at the first screen past selecting my profile, when it would fail to download the weekly challenge. Now it is occuring on every return to that screen OR every time I quit the day to the Management screen.

I see that other users have suffered from this, but I post my thoughts here to ask for them to be silenced entirely. They're staring to drive me insane.

K, on finishing a day I get the pop up about four or five times in a row.

It's definitely a download error...for some reason your firewall or internet is blocking the download for the game. I'm definitely going to take a hard look at getting it resolved for the next patch later in the month so that errors won't occur like this anymore.

Any port you want me to try to open?
If it helps anyone else, aborting the program on prompt causes more future errors; but ignoring, then saving and quitting seems to silence them for at least the next run of the game.

Actually I'm going to have a Linux beta for you to try in an hour if you don't mind, to see if it fixes the error popups.

Ok, go to the branch select and opt into the "linuxbeta" branch. You should be at version 3.17. Try it and let me know if it solves the errors popping up.

First boot of the beta branch and I get the error pop-up
Second play through, no pop-up but the Art Gallery (which I just unlocked) just shows a tiny little green block with a line (exclamation mark?) through it on a black background. It looks as if the images won't load. I don't know if this works on the main branch but it's definitely broken here.
I'll report back if the pop-ups arrive again.

Sorry, it looks like this won't be an easy fix then. I'll try to get it fixed for the patch later this month.

Wow super necro here, I'm also on Linux and have the green [!] when I try to look at the art gallery.
