What is up with the bananas foster?

All right. So a lot of the time, I will get a bad order on bananas foster and I don't know why. I'll heat the butter and sugar first, add the bananas. then I add the rum and flambe it. I do everything in the correct order, but I randomly receive bad orders sometimes, and I don't understand what I did wrong because I followed all the steps. Anyone else have this problem?

Some of them are flambe and some aren't (meaning you don't need to do the last two steps for every one every time). Is that the problem? It will say when the order comes in if they want banana foster or bananas foster flambe.

I'll check again to make sure I'm reading the orders right. It may be that I'm glossing over the differences in the chaos of trying to throw together half a dozen pastas and burgers.

But yeh they definitely don't all need flambé

Regular BF: Add sugar and butter. Wait for it to sizzle. Add bananas and finish.

Flambe BF: Add sugar and butter. Wait for it to sizzle. Add bananas, rum, and flambe. Finish.
