Extra turns after death
Just had a bit of an odd situation. The sage had one hit point left and cast Temporal Warp (take three successive turns). On his second turn, he met the Cryomancer, lost, and died. However, he immediately rolled up a new character (Monk) and took his third turn before play passed to the next player. Is this supposed to happen, or an exploit?

Pretty sure this is a bug. Spells target and affect things in the game, in this case the Sage Character. Once he dies, everything connected to him is either dropped on the space or removed from the game, as detailed in the rulebook. I would assume that any Spell effects that are applying to him would also immediately cease to function as well. I would guess the Spell effect is being applied to the Player in question instead of the Character, hence it continuing to give an additional turn in this case.

That's what I thought, but the wording on the card is vague enough that I could see where a rules lawyer might say the player is getting extra turns instead of the character. Think I'll post this over in bugs though.

from rule book page 5-6

the dead character player may start again on his next turn, with a new character

wording of temporal warp

Cast at the start of your turn, before you move. You may take three successive turns instead of one before play passes to the next player.

so, as per the text, yes, the player gets the turns, not the character, so if character is killed, then the turn the player can restart,

I dunno, that seems like really ambiguous wording. All of the cards say you/your, but they actually refer to the character you're playing. I just wonder how ruling that turns belong to the player instead of the character might cause complications, such as casting Time Steal on a dead character.

i like to follow the ïf in doubt follow the card text"
that kinda solves all aruguments (but sometimes it creates new ones too) as per counter spell, (negates the effects of a spell just cast) but that is another topic i guess :) lol
Sanity is correct. ososober, sorry that is not how it works. Temporal Warp is meant to end if a character the player is controlling dies!
