It is impossible for a Ninja to win if he gets a certain Warlock's Quest
So I was playing as a Ninja, and I recieved a Warlock's Quest. The Quest was to deliver a follower. However, Ninjas can't recieve followers, so I couldn't complete the quest, which meant I couldn't get through the Portal of Power, which meant I couldn't win. I think this should be fixed so that ninjas can't recieve this quest or somehing.

You can always get another Warlock's Quest. You must finish 4 of them to proceed. So get 5 and skip the one with a follower.

How do I get a new quest? I rolled deliver a follower and I couldn't do any other quests. I'm playing vanilla by the way.

It's not *impossible* to win under these conditions. There are ways to lose quests (pick up the False Grail or lose to a Glory Seeker), teleport past the Portal of Power (roll 6 on the Magic Portal), or defeat the Lord of Darkness by a wide enough margin. Just another obstacle to overcome.

Are these at default settings with no DLCs? Because the way I'm playing, Crown of Command and everyone else dying are the only ways to win.

The magic portal is in the standard version.

As mentioned, it is difficult but not impossible to win under those conditions. Another way around it is to get yourself killed and start with a new character.

False Grail makes you discard quests

there is always a chance that getting a warlock quest will result in an unachievable situation for the character getting it,, ninja discard a follower, knight take a life from player. if yo dont want that risk, then dont take the quest
QUAZ Feb 20, 2015 @ 3:30pm
sometimes you dont have a chance or a choice to not take the quest as spells can force it upon you

quazimofo, that is true, you not alway have a choice in accepting a quest, but dont want an impossible to fill quest, dont go to warlocks cave
This "rules not bug" comes up so often, can we just sticky it?

And for those who don't want to be stuck in this type of situation, there's finally a house rule that does it! With the new "Exchange Quests" rule, you can just get a new Warlock Quest to replace the old one.

I was ROFL when the AI Ninja went to exchange quests to drop the Deliver one Follower quest, and drew another Deliver one Follower.
