I say we leave the Clockwork Owl as it is right now, and do not change it.
The FAQ doesn't state any single reason why they ban using that two cards together while according to the normal rules using one card doesn't exclude the possibility to use the second card, because both cards touch different areas of movement. One card states that during movement we may move any number of spaces, and the other cards states that during movement we may roll 2 dice. Neither effect excludes the other effect.
This ban is purely dictated by the balancing issues, and nothing else. That's why I disagree with it.
"Dice' may mean both "1 die" and "multiple dice". The problem with this is that if they were that much sensitive about wordings, they would be forced to use "when you roll 1 die or multiple dice, you may...". Considering that rolling more than 1 die is always a special movement, each card only states the rules for the normal movement, but most often they apply also to the cards that are using multiple dice.
So if the Black Witch decides to add both rolls of her movement she is not supposed to be allowed to use the effect of Clockwork Owl. i.e. the Black Witch rolls 3+6, so she can go 1-6 or 9 spaces. She can not move 7 or 8 spaces.
